Liz Jeffery

With over 17 years’ experience working within HR, Liz is widely respected as a talented, innovative leader and a strong advocate for employees. In her current role as Vice President, People Experience at Sony Music she is responsible for leading the HR strategy for the UK and Ireland. Her remit spans across multiple areas including employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, organisational design, DE&I, wellbeing, employee relations and M&A activity. Throughout her time, she has been fundamental in leading cultural change across the business as well as refocusing the function’s efforts in the region, ensuring that the company reaches its goals. Liz has been critical in creating a culture that puts employees at the heart of the business and has brought in key initiatives to reflect this. This includes introducing a first of its kind childcare support policy that supports female retention within the workplace; being the first private sector company in the UK to provide Neonatal leave, introducing industry leading policies such as equalised parental leave as well as creating the UK’s first masters in music therapy bursary in partnership with Nordoff Robbins.
